5. Firmware Flash & Parameter Configuration
Reference Video:
5.1 Connect Motor
Open the installed SteadyWin "Motor Wizard", click the green button "PARAMETERS", and select the serial port corresponding to the recognized CP2102 driver (e.g., COM6).
5.2 Parameter Configuration
Configure the parameters on the two pages according to the images. After configuration, click the "SYNC" button.
5.3 Firmware Flash
5.3.1 Flash Operation
Click the "UPDATE" button, select the file to be flashed, open it, and the flash process will start. It takes approximately 30-60 seconds to complete.
After flash is complete, click "AUTO IDENTIFY". The motor will vibrate slightly internally and stop upon success.
After the "AUTO IDENTIFY" process ends, click "CALIB" to perform calibration. The motor will spin internally continuously during this process and stop upon success.
5.3.2 Firmware Verification
Start the motor and command it to rotate at a certain speed, then stop the motor and observe the current position.
Turn off the Pupper Power Board switch to cut power to the motor. After powering down, close the SteadyWin "Motor Wizard" software. Then turn the Pupper Power Board switch back on to power the motor. After powering up, reopen the SteadyWin "Motor Wizard" software and start the motor (do not rotate the motor via the software). After starting, observe the current position. If the initial position is close to 0, it confirms that the firmware flash is complete. A characteristic of this firmware is that the position returns to zero after power-off.
